THREE teens were taken to hospital after smoking a cannabis vape in school.
Several other students were treated on site after suffering a severe reaction.
It was understood that the device was laced with THC oil, the psychoactive chemical in cannabis, and was brought in by a Year 11 student who wanted to “chill” ahead of a GCSE exam.
But the vape was passed round at break and smoked by pupils as young as 12, it was claimed.
One mum said her daughter saw a boy foaming at the mouth as paramedics and police arrived at Unity College, Burnley.
She told The Sun: “It’s shocking. The school needs to get a grip.”
There has been a UK surge in young people using vapes, some experimenting by adding THC oil.
Head Jane Richardson said three pupils went to hospital to be assessed on Thursday.
She added that staff worked with police and paramedics “to bring the incident quickly under control”.
Last night it was unclear if any student was still being treated.
